About Me

I’m a California Licensed Educational Psychologist born and raised in San Diego. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from San Diego State University in 2008, then pursued a Master’s degree in School Psychology at Chapman University. During this time, I worked as a mental health counselor at a Level 14 residential facility for youth with developmental disabilities and severe behavioral difficulties. I gained a great depth of experience in working with a challenging population of students with exceptional needs. I completed both my Master’s in Education, and Education Specialist in School Psychology degrees in May 2013. Soon after, I was hired to work as a school psychologist in the San Dieguito Union High School District. I worked at a comprehensive high school conducting evaluations, and helping to determine the special education services for each student I worked with. During my time in the San Dieguito High School District, I completed the School Neuropsychology program and received certification in June 2014. A couple of years later, I began working at the Chula Vista Elementary School District as a school psychologist and administrator. I oversaw the special education programs and staff at two schools, in addition to fulfilling  the school psychologist role in conducting evaluations and providing counseling. By 2016, I was offered employment as a licensed educational psychologist. I worked at a private practice and conducted independent educational evaluations at the request of parents, advocates, special education attorneys, and special education directors throughout San Diego county. I am very pleased to now have my own private practice where I can continue to serve students and families.

I now have almost 10 years of experience in this field, and I have worked with hundreds of children and youth from all backgrounds. I have a deep insight and a practical view of the challenges children are facing, and the supports and services that can be provided for them. Whether it’s emotional distress, a learning difference, ADHD, or a spectrum disorder, I have the experience and expertise to thoroughly evaluate your child and help determine the necessary interventions to succeed. I appreciate you taking the time in getting to know a little bit about me.

Thank you,
